Nahdet El Mahrousa (NM) is an Egyptian youth-led non-governmental organization (NGO) established in November 2003. NM is committed to making a positive and lasting impact on Egypt’s cultural, economic and social development through activating and engaging Egyptian youth in the country’s development, public work and decision-making arenas. NM is the first incubator for youth-led innovative social enterprises in Egypt and the region.

Yahoo! Middle East is a result of the acquisition of Maktoob.com by Yahoo! in 2009 with the aim to become the destination of choice for consumers in the Middle East. Combining Yahoo!’s popular products and services with Maktoob's compelling local content, this partnership extends Yahoo!'s current offerings by adding capabilities to deliver relevant Arabic-language content and services, and eventually Arabic versions of Yahoo!’s popular Yahoo! Messenger and Yahoo! Mail services.
The partnership between Maktoob and Yahoo! was established in 2009 with the aim to strengthen and support Arabic content on the internet in the Middle East region. Further more, this partnership will involve adapting existing products to the Arabic language while also working with local developers to develop and offer new and compelling products. The current focus is to facilitate the growth of online Arabic content to accommodate the increasing number of internet users searching for information in the language. ,
